Our STory

This ministry actually started 50 years ago when a little old lady had a heart and passion for people of all kinds. Those in hospitals, nursing homes and the bereaved. She could not drive and refused to catch a ride with her husband or children. She would walk to the nursing homes and visit the lame, blind and crippled, carrying bags of candy with her. She would walk to the hospital and visit the sick and shut-ins taking an apple or orange with her.

Back then she didn’t have much, but what she had, she gave. She gave out of love, and gave from the heart. She would attend funerals, not knowing them. She would sit on the back row and when the family would exit, she would say "I’m praying for your family." Sometimes she would put money in their hands and say "It’s not much, but a small token to say "I’ve been where you are now." If someone in the community was sick, she would got to their homes and nurture them back to health. This was the kind of woman she was. She served her family, she served the people in the community.

This Missionary woman was defiantly on a mission journey for God, and she needed no title to discover who she was, and she reached her destiny, and walked into her calling. She inspired and impacted the lives of many. She is no other than my mother, Hilda Louise Chumney. She would always say "everybody is worth something in God."

When God called me to the ministry as a licensed Evangelist and Inspirational Speaker, I joined her. She has finished her course and passing the torch to me as God has saw fit. This is how W.O.R.T.H. Ministry has birthed.

ministry mission

This ministry is to empower, inspire and impact the lives of all people. It will address women and men who have been broken or shattered in some form, shape or fashion. Our goal is to transform lives.

This ministry will reach out to those in hospitals, jail cells, and nursing homes. We will deliver fruit baskets (or small gift) on a monthly basis to those of a loved one. We will also help on funeral expenses ($200 cap) when needed. We will send money to missions as well.

WORTH Ministry will consist of visiting the sick, shut-ins, elderly and those who just aren't able to get out at all.

This is a community-based outreach ministry that will try to help meet the needs of our community. We will have plays, concerts, and conferences to inspire the need of those who need their hearts restored back to wholeness.
